Game Data Page

Game Data Page


After you select a game from the Game tab, you will be redirected to the Game Data page. The Game Data page dives into statistics of individual games, providing visual representations along with interactive charts and data.


The Game Data page tools include:

  • Overall Team and Game stats: Located at the top of the Game Data view, explore not only the game score but also the overall record for each team at home, away, and for the series for the two selected teams.
  • All clips | All Possessions | Full Game Video: Select any one of these options to view the game film in your preferred style. 



 


Views


You can select from the following views on the Game Data page: 

  • Extended Box Score
  • Play Types
  • Play by Play
  • Game Breakdown
  • Shot Chart
  • Lineups. 



 

Extended Box Score


Select Extended Box Score to view the matchups between the two teams displayed.




Extended Box Score tools and features include:


  • Box Score Chart: Clicking any bar on this chart will show you all game videos for the selected stat and team.



  • Game Flow Chart: This chart displays the score difference between the two teams. Hovering over a bar displays the details of that possession. Clicking a bar launches the video of that possession. Clicking the team logo/short name within the circle will launch all video clips in the game for the selected team. Clicking a quarter/half label will launch all videos for that period.



  •  Box Score and Extended Box Score Tables:
    • Team Selector - This allows you to select either team or both to populate the table.
    • Options (gear) icon. Click the box to select or de-select any of the available options.
      • Combine Teams: combines players from both teams into a single table
      • Combine Box Scores: combines box score data from both teams into a single table
      • Split Team in Starter/Bench: Starters and Bench players are put into separate tables.  Also displays separate totals for Starters and Bench.







Play Types


 



Play Types tools and features include: 


  • Play Type Filters: Filter your view further using the filters available in the Play Type View.
    • Game Period - Select the period(s) to display data for. Multiple periods can be selected at the same time.
    • Player - Select a specific player from the drop-down menu to view data for that player only.
    • Play Type Details - Use the Show Players toggle to hide or include the player.



  • Play Types Chart View: In Chart View, explore clips for both teams - entire game, clips for one team - entire game, or clips for one team - one quarter/half.  Use the Table/Chart icons to switch between the Chart and Table views. The Table view is designed more like a standard table. 



Play by Play


Filter by Player, Possession Result, and Game Period to display the Play by Play breakdown.  Click on any Play by Play box to watch the video of that possession.


 



Game Breakdown



View a detailed breakdown of the game covering Stats, Shots, Sets, Transitions, and Press Offense.





Game Breakdown tools and features include:

  • Game Breakdown Filters: Use additional filters to redefine the data displayed in each section. 
    • Game Period - The period(s) to display data for. Select a specific period to view data only for that period.
    • Player - Select a specific player to view data for only that player.
    • Game Breakdown Details - the Show Players toggle will include or hide the player breakdown within each stat.


  • Game Breakdown Chart View: In Chart View, explore clips for both teams - entire game, clips for one team - entire game, or clips for one team - one quarter/half.  Use the Table/Chart icons to switch between the Chart and Table views.  The Table view is designed more like a standard table.



 

Shot Chart



The shot chart view gives a visual display of the location of each shot within the game



 


Shot Chart tools and features include:


  • Shot Chart Filters: Use additional filters to redefine the data displayed in each section.
    • Offensive Team - Select which team's shot chart to view
    • Player - Select player(s) to view only their shots within the chart
    • Possession Results - Select result(s) to view only these result types in the chart
    • Game Period - Select half(s)/quarter(s) to view only shots made within selected periods. When only one half or quarter is selected, a time range is generated to further refine shots based on when shots take place within the period




  • Shot Chart Display: 
    • Toggle between All possessions or only shots that have been selected on the visual display
    • Toggle between Use colors or one color for color coding in the visual display
    • Toggle between Scattered chart or Grid chart for a more precise location in the visual display
    • Select 'Open In Basketball Desktop to view the shot chart in the Synergy Basketball App
    • Table View Settings (gear icon): Select between Default, all Columns, or Customize to modify the table view by switching the column's visibility and their order in the table


 


Lineups


Lineups are only available if you are subscribed to Lineup Analysis)


 



Lineups tools and features include:


  • Lineup View FiltersUse the filters in this view to refine the data presented in the chart. 
    • Offense / Defense
    • Team Selector: select either team or both to populate the table
    • Clips: click any blue number in the table to view clips of the represented statistics
    • Customize Table (gear icon): modify the table view by switching the column's visibility and their order in the table
