The Multi Game Shot Chart (MGSC) allows you to track shots and their respective locations on the floor, over the course of an entire season. Use this tool to select specific parameters for what types of shots you want to see.
Getting Started
To get started, go to the Analytics tab and then select Multi Game Shot Chart (MGSC).
Use the filters on the left to narrow down what information you wish to show. Before you can see the MGSC, you must first select a League, Season, Competition, and Team.
After you set your filters, the MGSC will appear along with a legend. The legend will update whenever you update the filters.
Adjusting MGSC
In addition to filters, users can also adjust the Stat Shown and Zones on the Multi Game Shot Charts.
Stat Shown
Choose whether you wish to display field goal percentages or Synergy Shot Quality.
Note: Synergy Shot Quality determines the expected points per shot, based on shot type, shot distance, and other factors.
Zones
Court Zones and Hex Zones illustrate player tendencies in specific areas on the court.
Hex Zones additionally show where shots are taken within each zone and at what frequency. Smaller hexagons represent less frequency, and larger hexagons represent more frequency.
You have the option of viewing the MGSC divided into 11, 16, or 32 different zones.
Player Data, Shots Data, & Shots Playlists
Underneath the Multi Game Shot Chart, you will find tabs for Player Data, Shots Data, and Shots Playlists.
Player Data
The Player Data tab shows player stats, based on your filter selections. As you update the MGSC filters, the player stats will also update.
Clicking on any stat in blue will launch videos associated with that stat.
Shots Data
The Shots Data tab shows a list of shots taken, based on your filter selections. As you update the MGSC filters, the shots data will also update.
You can select shots from the Shot Data tab to watch or add to a Shots Playlist. You also have the option to watch all of the shot clips.
Shots Playlists
To create a Shots Playlist, you will select shots from the Shots Data tab, and then click Add to playlist. Or you can add shots to the playlist by clicking the + buttons.
Use the trashcan icons on the Shots Data tab or the Shot Playlist tab to remove shots from the playlist.
