Overview

The Sequencer view lets you organize clips from a custom edit into groups of your choice, creating a highly curated and organized view for your clips. Working in Sequencer view allows you easily move clips among groups within your edit, that helps to visualize your edit in a structured and organized way.

Getting Started

Once you have selected the Custom Edit from your list that you would like to sequence, change your view to Sequencer from the views dropdown. All of the clips from your custom edit will be displayed in one group titled Ungrouped. Each row represents a unique group of clips. You can create groups by clicking the Add Slide button, and using either the Add Grouping Text Slide which creates a group with a title slide of the group name or Add Grouping Image Slide which creates a group with an image slide you can import from your hard drive. You can add additional title or image slides wherever you like within your groups from here as well.

When adding a Title Slide or Grouping Text Slide, a window will appear with the following options:

  • Title - name your group, this will name the row of clips, and also be displayed in the opening title slide for the group
  • Notes - additional notes will be displayed on the title slide below the groups title
  • Duration - adjust the slider to set how long the title slide will appear within the group
  • Copies - this allows you to create multiple groups with the same properties at one time

When adding an Image Slide or a Grouping Image Slide, a window will appear with the following options:

  • Title - name your group, this will name the row of clips, and also be displayed in the opening title slide for the group
  • Notes - additional notes will be displayed on the title slide below the groups title
  • Image File - use the triple dot box to the right of the field to select an image file from your hard drive to be viewed on the Image Slide
  • Duration -adjust the slider to set how long the title slide will appear within the group

To edit existing group properties in the Sequencer view, select the row and click the pencil icon from the Sequencer toolbar, or view and manage Grouping slides in the Playlist view.

Once your groups have been set, you can begin organizing your sequences by dragging and dropping clips into your desired groups. It is important to note that as you organize your clips, this is the order the will be displayed in playlist view as well. Clips can be added before or after any clip within a group.

NOTE: If you drag a clip and drop it between two groups it will create a new group which you can later edit using the group editing pencil tool.

As with the Timeline view, you can flag rows by right-clicking the row and selecting Flag, or flag clips by selecting the clip and clicking the Flag button from the toolbar. You can also add additional tags to clips by right-clicking the clip and selecting Add User Tags, or Open Hierarchy.

Now that your edit has been organized into sequenced groups, you can view each group of clips by double-clicking the row title for your group.
