Overview
The Matrix view is a way to display all the tagged clips within your edit in a grid format. Within the Matrix view there are a number of ways to filter your information, allowing you to explore intersections of data to help you better view and sort your footage. From this view, you can play your selected clips as a temporary edit or add them to new or existing Custom Edits.
Getting Started
Once you have opened a Custom Edit or Timeline Edit, you can change the view to Matrix by selecting it from the drop-down menu in the top right of the panel. All of your tagged data will be displayed in the Matrix grid format.
In the top left of the Matrix panel, there is a slider to zoom in or out of the grid for easier viewing.
Above the grid you have drop-down menus to filter the displayed information, one for Rows, and one for Columns. These will help you refine your display to easily find and view your data.
You can sort your Rows and Columns by:
- Players
- Play Calls
- Box Score
- Offense
- Play Types
- User Tags
- All
Each column, row, and individual intersection are selectable. The number at the intersections indicates how many clips there are with that tag combination. To view the clips, double-click the intersection number, row, or column name, and a temporary edit will open and display the associated clips.
Note: This temporary edit is similar to the temporary edit that is created when sending clips from the Team Site. You are able to manipulate the clips, move them to other edits or create new Custom Edits with them, but the temporary edit itself will not remain unless you save it using the carrot menu located in the edit's tab.
