MAX: Timeline Edits (Formerly Source Edits)

Modified on Fri, 11 Oct at 8:36 PM

Overview

With the Editor Max, not only can you download Timelines of full game video from the Synergy Team Site, you can also create your own unique Timelines from live captured or imported video. Timelines can be created from your video and tagged by you, using Synergy Preset Templates, or your own custom built tagging template. Integrating the Tagging Hierarchy in your tagging template allows you to easily and quickly make a comprehensive, customizable template to break down your footage. Your Timelines are accessible under the Timelines tab at the top of the Editor.

Features

Timelines allows you to view or create a chronological representation of the video along with all tagged information added by Synergy and your staff. Timelines offer many tools, customizations, and visualization of your data. Some features included with Timeline edits are:

  • Automatically share Timelines with your team:
    • All Timelines created within the Editor are automatically shared with everyone on your team with Editor permissions for easy accessible review under the Timelines tab.
    • Add Timeline clips to Custom Edits using drag-and-drop or hotkey.
    • Add a clip, selection of clips, or entire rows to a Custom Edit by selecting the clip(s) or row in the Timeline, and then hotkey to your destination edit, or drag-and-drop to your desired edit.
    • Adding clips from your Timelines actually creates a copy of those clips, which can be trimmed and tagged in the new edit without changing your source data and durations.

Add and arrange video within your Timeline:

  • For example, if you want to combine video for 2 or more player training sessions, or if you’ve captured a game using multiple media files, you can add and re-order the media files any way you choose using the Videos view.
  • You can arrange the media files even if you’ve already created clips on the existing media in the Timeline edit. The Timeline view will adjust according to how you order new media.

  • Print a Boxscore:
    • Easily print a boxscore of all tagged data within the timeline by clicking the carrot icon on the edit tab, and selecting Print > Boxscore.

  • Publish user created Timelines to the Synergy Team Site:
    • Whether tagging a practice or exhibition, you can securely publish your data to the Synergy Team Site where it is only visible to you and your team by clicking the carrot icon on the edit tab, then selecting Team Site > Publish.
