Next you will need to open your in-browser element inspector. There are a couple ways to open the inspector:

  • F12
  • Right-click on the blank background of the web page, at the bottom of the right-click menu click Inspect. (Must be using Chrome)
  • Control+Shift+C

Once open, your screen will be split between the live production page and the inspector. Along the top of the panel there are a number of tabs. Select the Network tab, and a list of the different video segments being streamed will display.

You can identify the video segments by their file type m3u8. Select any file from the list that ends with m3u8, and a new panel will open next to the list of files.

At the top under General, there is a Request URL listed. Copy the URL to be pasted into the Editor.

Once your Editor is open, select the New Live Capture button in the top right of the Editor, and under video select Connect to RTMP Stream. Then simply paste the copied URL into the RTMP URL field in the New Live Capture window, and click OK.

The capture will come in at the beginning of the live recording. If the recording has been in progress, the Editor may have some delay while catching up to the live moment. In order to avoid this, we recommend scheduling your recordings 5-10 minutes before your event begins, allowing you the time to set up your wireless live capture, and ensure it is in real time.
