Requirements
Your network camera setup information will be stored locally on your device. Ensure that the setup is performed on the same device you intend to use for recording games or practices.
Your device must be connected to the same network as your IP cameras using an Ethernet cable. Wi-Fi is not recommended, as it may result in dropped connections, skipped frames, or other recording issues.
Configuring Network Cameras
Open the application settings by clicking the Three Line dropdown menu and selecting Settings.
Navigate to the Network tab, the third tab on the right.
Click the Add Camera icon to add a new camera. For each camera:
- Name the camera.
- Select the appropriate camera angle from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the RTSP stream link (Network Camera Path) in the designated field.
Repeat these steps for each IP camera you plan to use. Once all camera information has been entered, click Apply to save your configuration.
Common Network Paths:
Axis network camera path: username:password@cameraipaddress/axis-media/media.amp
Bosch network camera path: username:password@cameraipaddress:portnumber (Default port number is 554)
Start Recording with Network Cameras
In the Games or Practice view, select the game or practice session you intend to record. Once selected, navigate to the Import page.
Under the Total Camera Angles dropdown, select the number of camera angles you plan to use.
For each angle:
- Use the dropdown menu to assign the corresponding camera angle.
- Click the Start Network Camera button next to the selected angle to begin recording.
A red dot will appear next to each angle to indicate that recording is active. You can verify ongoing recording by:
- Ensuring the red dot remains visible.
- Confirming that the file size continues to increase.
- Clicking the Play icon next to each angle to preview the live video feed.
Log the Game
Now that the cameras are recording, you can proceed to the Log page. You can now log the game as you normally would using one of two methods:
- Select the No Video checkbox to log plays while watching live on the field.
- Deselect the No Video checkbox and click the Capture button. A video player will appear, allowing you to log directly from the live recording.
Stop Recording
Return to the Import page after logging is complete. Click the Stop Network Camera button next to each active angle. Confirm that the red recording indicator (red dot) disappears, indicating that the recording has stopped.
Sync Video and Events
Now that your game is logged and your recording has been stopped, you can navigate to the Sync page to synchronize your recorded camera angles.
If the game was logged using the No Video option, you will also need to manually sync your logged events to the video. Once all video angles have been synced, as well as events, click Apply. For detailed guidance, refer to our support article on Sync View.
Encode and Upload Video
After syncing, you must return to the Import page. Click the Start button at the top of the camera angles list to begin encoding and uploading your video files.
You can monitor the progress next to each angle:
- Encoding and upload status will display in real time.
- A checkmark will appear in the Upload box for each angle once processing is complete.
