How to Connect the Synergy Automated Camera System to the Synergy Editor for Local Capture

Modified on Wed, 28 Aug at 7:01 PM

In this article, we will discuss how to use the Synergy Automated Camera System to live capture video and connect it directly to the server using an AJA box.

Below is an example image of an AJA box:

Getting Started

The Synergy Automated Cameras provides the ability to live capture video and connect it to the server using an AJA box. On the back of the server, at the bottom, there is both a SDI connection and HDMI connection. The SDI connection and HDMI connection are the default video outputs that need to be connected to the AJA box in order to ensure the video is able to be sent to the server. Using either of these outputs, you can connect it directly into the AJA box and you will be able to capture video directly from the default feed in your Synergy Automated Camera System.

What is the Default Feed?

The default feed is the center court camera that pans the arena and is the feed that would be transmitted out of the video outputs in the Synergy Automated Camera.

An example of a Synergy Automated Camera set up could be that a team has 3 cameras. The first camera is on one end of the court, the second being a camera on the other side of the court (so each is filming the half court) and then a central camera that pans back and forth. The central camera that pans back and forth would be an example of the default feed.
