TIP IN + FAST BREAK + FOUL ON THE SHOT
The tip-ins list, active only after an individual player's offensive rebound in Synergy Stats presents an option that combines a field goal made as a tip-in (layup or dunk) accompanied by a foul on the shot and 1 Free Throw attempt followed, which is made on a fast break.
Having the option available in the list covers all scenarios of the so-called putback shots, and facilitates the work of the users who can now assign all these with fewer clicks.
The putback or tip-in shots are second-chance points where the shooter scores after an unsuccessful initial shot, by putting back the ball to the basket without landing on the floor, by dunking it, or by laying it up.

REMOVING PLAYER FROM A TEAM ROSTER WHEN GAME IN PROGRESS
The user now can remove and replace an active player from a team roster once the game has commenced. These are the cases where a player was incorrectly marked as active or mistakenly taken for another one.
When a player is removed from the roster after the game start and when any actions have been assigned to the player, the user must select a replacement - another player from the team roster, who is inactive at the moment of the swap.
The workflow includes:
  • unticking the player 'active' box
  • a confirmation message will appear for the user to validate the actions
  • a player for replacement should be selected and marked as 'active' by ticking this player's box
  • another confirmation message will be displayed for the user to mark the replacement as approved
  • the first player will become inactive and the second one - active
  • all the actions assigned to the player who has been removed will be transferred to the replacing player in the action log and flagged with 'mark for review' alert
  • the user must review all of these actions and validate them being assigned to the replacement
  • Boxscore and other reports will reflect the replacement and will then show the stats correctly
Note: Detailed descriptions of the workflow and more explanation are available on the Synergy Stats Support platform
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SCORE / CLOCK NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
The notification icon (a bell) mceclip0.png is displayed in the Synergy Stats app in the top right corner, right next to the connection status tab. If a notification is received then the software allows the user to click on it and open it for reaction. The notification will be marked with a red circle around a number - 1,2,3 and etc.

The score/clock notification system in Synergy Stats will be only used across the games in specific leagues, and the league coordinators will be informed about this.
The idea behind the notification system is to assist users in recognizing incorrect scores and clock issues during live games, by prompting correct score suggestions or clock values, which should only be validated or rejected by the users.
If validated, some events will be marked automatically for review later, but the score/clock will be adjusted to correct immediately.

'ADD FREE THROWS' BUTTON IN EDITING PERSONAL FOUL SCREEN
When editing a personal foul, Synergy Stats users can now add free throws. The button 'ADD FREE THROWS' is added to the editing foul screen and the committed foul can easily turn a non-shooting personal foul into a shooting one by adding free throws, which were initially missed or not selected on the number of FTs screen.

NO REBOUND POSSIBLE WHEN INSERTING ACTIONS AFTER THE LAST
When inserting action after the last one for the quarter in the action log (Play by Play area of Synergy Stats), the user can select No Rebound as an outcome of a missed shot when occurring in the last second(s) of the respective quarter.
The respective button is active and clickable and serves the purpose of a buzzer-beater when the game clock runs off while the ball is in the air but no rebound comes next.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BUGS FIXED:
The contested rebound option now presents the selection of a player from the roster of the team, which will have possession after a jump ball situation based on the possession arrow direction. It was not working as expected for some time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coming up next
In the next Synergy Stats release, we will be fixing a number of other bugs and introducing more enhancements, including:
  • Multiple fouls within 'Free Throws' screen enhancements
  • Cancellation enhancement
  • Scoresheet enhancements
  • Reports enhancements - single page view for print
