Modified on Mon, 20 Jul at 3:51 PM

The Competition Management module enables you to update information about competitions that you manage, including team information and competition-level overlay settings.

To access this module, navigate to the following link:

You can also access this module by clicking the Competition Management icon on the left sidebar of the SportsHub application.

After accessing the module, you can navigate through your competitions and seasons using the navigation bar.

NoteBy default, the current or most recent season from a given competition is selected.

NoteA competition that is managed from the dedicated Synergy "Competitions Management" application is not accessible in this module and can be managed from the dedicated application.

Updating Teams Information

In the main section, you will see a table with all teams assigned to the competition.

You can add or update a team by clicking the Add New Team button or by clicking the pencil icon next to an existing team. Additionally, team logos can be modified or removed by clicking the edit or delete icon, directly next to the logo.

Information that can be updated includes team names, nicknames, season names, short names, and team colors. Please view the image below as an example.

Nicknames are used within overlays and scorebugs. If a season name is provided, it is used as the priority name. If the season name is not provided, a short name will be used instead. If neither are provided, the full name will be used.

Deleting a team is possible by clicking the trash can icon, but only as long as the team has not taken part in a recording.

Managing Competition Overlays

Note: This feature is only available if you have the appropriate permissions for the competition.

Competition overlays allow you to configure an overlay directly at the competition level. When an overlay is set on a competition, streams for that competition from all arenas can inherit and use that overlay instead of requiring the overlay to be selected separately for each arena.

To manage the overlay for a competition, select the competition in the Competition Management module and open the competition settings.

From there, you can select the overlay that should be used for the competition. To remove an overlay from a competition, edit the competition settings and clear the overlay selection.

NoteWhen the competition-level overlay is set, it is automatically applied to all the arenas. You can override it in the stream-configuration.

NoteIf a competition-level overlay is configured, newly created or newly activated arena streams will inherit the competition overlay.

Pro Tip 1: Competition-level overlays are useful when the same scorebug or visual overlay should be used across all games in a competition.

Pro Tip 2: If a specific arena stream needs different branding, update that stream so it no longer inherits the competition overlay.
