Navigating Organizations

Note: This is an advanced management module. Due to its complexity the "mobile view" is not supported.




Organization’s Permissions

Organization is a central concept in how users interact with the automated video production system. 


A organization is a group of users that are all members of a league, a federation, a club, a group of referees, etc.


Organizations are granted permissions over competitions. The following permissions are available for organizations:

  • can_view_competition: the organization has access to view and download all videos produced in this competition.
  • can_schedule_competition_in_arena: the organization can create, edit or delete new recordings for a given competition in one or multiple arenas. This is only available for competitions for which fixtures and other competition information is entered directly into SportsHub and not imported over from another data source.
  • can_produce_competition_in_arena: the organization can have access to tools from the “Studio” app (e.g.: Control Room) for games for a given competition in one or multiple arenas.


To view the permissions of your organization, select your desired organization from the list on the left, then navigate to the details tab. You will then access a list of all competitions for which your organization has at least the can_view_competition permission. Additionally, arenas for which the organization has scheduling or production permissions are also listed for all competitions.

Viewing, Editing and Adding Members Overview

Select your desired organization from the list on the left, then navigate to the Members tab.

 

As illustrated in the image below, the members tab provides an overview of all members of an organization. Use the search fields and filters to easily navigate larger sets of data.

To add a new member, click the "Add a New Member" button then provide the member's email address and finally click "Confirm". The new member will then receive an email with the next steps.



Users' Permissions

Users receive their permissions through organizations. They can only inherit all or a subset of the permissions from their organizations.


A user can either be a regular member or a manager of an organization. ALL managers receive ALL the permissions from their organization. So, when a new permission is added later to an organization, all the managers of the org inherit that new permission directly. At the creation of an organization a first user is created as a “manager”. 


A manager can invite other users to join their organization and can delegates some or all permissions from their organization to the users. They can also give the manager role to other members of their organization.


The user receives their permissions through an organization. In other words, an organization can delegate all or some of its permissions to a user who is a member of this organization.


Additionally to the organization level permissions, there is also one permission specific to the user:

  • can_view_tags: a user can see tags of the owner of the tag if they are in the same organization.


To update permissions for a user, find the user whose permissions you want to edit (you can use the search bar at the top of the table) and click the Edit button on the right side.


Pro Tip 1: Please be aware that changes to a user's permissions are applied immediately, with the exception of the "Remove Member" action, which requires confirmation.

Club Permissions Overview 

Note: This is only available for leagues or federations.


If you are a manager of a league or a federation where multiple clubs use our system, you can have visibility into the permissions of each club's members. You will find a list of all clubs associated with your organization in the left menu.


Note: Setting up this view must be requested from our support team. You should request a "parent organization" structure for your league/federation.

Note: Under the Details tab, you can manage club permissions, such as the ability to add new members, remove members, or change existing permissions.


Pro Tip 1: In this section, you must confirm your changes with the "Confirm" button.


Pro Tip 2: Sometimes, deletion is not possible. This can occur, for example, if a club has permissions that its parent federation does not.
