The latest version of Synergy Stats (Basketball) is solely dedicated to the Power Play functionality.
The release covers enhancements that provide opportunity for clients allowing different basketball rules to use Synergy Stats for collecting stats actions in accordance with these rule-sets.
The Power Play, also known as Big Bonus (Overtime Elite League, USA), is a special play which allows the team in bonus to use an opportunity to organize an extra offence, resulting in scoring points, while the team has numerical advantage, instead of executing free throws.
While in 'Power Play' mode the team in offense:
- is awarded automatically FGM 2pts for every non-shooting foul drawn
- is awarded 2pts or 3pts for every shooting foul drawn
- is awarded automatically 1pt for every foul on the shot scenario with no free throw being attempted
- can simply score 2pts or 3 pts
The Power Play ends after:
- Defensive rebound
- Turnover
- Jump Ball
- Offensive Foul
- Technical Foul
- all of the above mentioned scenarios, where the team in offense registers field-goal made or free-throw made
To allow Power Play, a user should manage the functionality in Competition Management under Match Profile for a respective Season. It will unlock the functionality in Synergy Stats.
