Player Performance Efficiency Calculation Selection (via CMAN)

The other enhancement that the release holds is the ability for the organization to set up different player performance efficiency calculation formulas. Boxscore reports will display the efficiency calculation that is set in the Match Profile section in Competition Management.

A new Match Profile field is introduced for the users - Efficiency Formula. From the Efficiency Formula drop-down menu, the calculation method can be chosen from a list of pre-defined ones.

Once selected, the efficiency calculation formula will be applied to the Boxscore and Advanced Boxscore reports in Synergy Stats app.

For the moment the list of available for efficiency formulas selection consists of:

'Efficiency* (used by FIBA)

Abbreviation: Eff

((4 x Three Points Made) + (3 x Two Points Made) + (2 x Free Throws Made)) - (Three Points Attempted + Two Points Attempted + Free Throws Attempted) + Offensive Rebounds + Defensive Rebounds + Blocks + Assists + Steals - Turnovers)

*different than EFFICIENCY (EFF) used by the NBA

Index of Success

Abbreviation: IND

(Points + Rebounds + Assists + Steals + Block + Fouls Drawn) - ((Two Points Attempted - Two Points Made) + (Three Points Attempted - Three Points Made)  + (Free Throws Attempted - Free Throws Made) + Turnovers + Fouls Committed + Technical Fouls Committed + Shots Rejected)

Performance Index Rating (used by the Euroleague)

Abbreviation: PIR

(Points + Rebounds + Assists + Steals + Blocks + Fouls Drawn) - (Missed Field Goals + Missed Free Throws + Turnovers + Shots Rejected + Fouls Committed)

In case no Efficiency Formula is selected, Competition Management sets Efficiency as the default one.

Additionally, the users of Synergy Stats in the leagues, which apply the Power Play rule in their games are now able to assign an Assist action with the shooting fouls scenario during Power Play. When a shooting foul is selected, the workflow prompts for Assist/No Assist after the player for foul drawn is selected, as according to the Power Play rules each shooting foul results in 2 pts/3 pts automatically while in Big Bonus mode.
