In this article, we will discuss how to use the video player to view side-by-side playlists within the Synergy Sports Softball Application.

The Compare Video tool allows you to search for results on Multigame, Reports, or Single Game View and the corresponding video side-by-side so that you can compare and contrast multiple players at once.

Creating a Side By Side Playlist

In order to create a side-by-side playlist, you will need to search for results using the multi-game, reports, or single game view.  At the top of any view, switch the video option to Compare to send the playlist to the video player.

Once a player is chosen, send the playlist to both video players, only left, or only right side of the view using the drop-down list. Once in the video player, you can also toggle between Compare and Player modes by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the screen.

Compare Mode in Video Player

Once you've sent the playlist to the video player in compare mode, you can select video clips from each playlist to view the video.  When a video is chosen, have a variety of options to control the video that you'd like to view.

Change camera angle or adjust video duration above each video player.

Use play controls under each video player to change location in the video clip\Universal play controls at the bottom operate both video players.

Once you have chosen the clips you wish to compare, you can use the Set button to mark the sync point for each video player. Drag the sync point to move location in video clip and click Set again to remove the sync point. If you'd like to jump to the sync point in each video play you can click Go To

If you would like to collapse or expand playlists you can do so by clicking the arrow above the respective playlist.

You have additional options to customize your playlist name and preferences using the following:

  • Rename playlist titles by clicking the Edit buttons above each playlist table
  • Use the settings gear icon in the bottom right contains options when switching video clips in each playlist
    • Autoplay begins playing video automatically
