Is it Possible to Decrease the Bandwidth Requirement for an Arena?

Article Purpose: How to decrease the bandwidth requirement for your arena.


Note: If you see that the color of your bandwidth is orange or red for your arena, please try the options below to help decrease the bandwidth requirement for your arena.




Option 1: Decreasing your Bitrate


Friendly Reminder: Beware that lowering your bitrate will also decrease the quality of the video.


1.) Go to Sportshub.


2.) Click on the "Arenas" icon on the left side of the Sportshub page, as shown below.


Note: After you click on the "Arenas" icon make sure to click on your arena under the "Arenas" section. 


3.) Next, click on the pencil icon for your stream configuration that you are working with, as shown in the image below.

3.) Adjust the Bitrate to a lower value of your choosing.

4.) Click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the page, as shown below.

 


Option 2: Disable "Live video in Synergy Applications"


1.) Go to Sportshub.


2.) Click on the "Arenas" icon on the left side of the Sportshub page, as shown below.


Note: After you click on the "Arenas" icon make sure to click on your arena under the "Arenas" section.


3.) Next, click on the pencil icon for your stream configuration that you are working with, as shown in the image below.


4.) Choose the Disabled option within the "Live Video in Synergy Applications" section.


5.) Click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the page, as shown below.


Friendly Reminder: Bandwidth is the sum of all your stream configurations.
