Overview
The Games View in the Synergy Mobile App allows users to view Synergy logged games or Team Logger Games clip by clip, directly on your mobile device.
Selecting a Game
When you open the Mobile App, the new Dashboard now has the Games Tab on the left. You also have a list of recently viewed items below, allowing quick access for easy review.
When you select the Games Tab, the team your account is associated with populates the game list from most newest game to oldest.
From here, you can use the Games Filters button to refine your list or use the search bar to find a specific game to view. With filters you can sort by League, Season, Game Types, Divisions, Conferences, and Teams.
Filters can also be saved after creation, by pressing the Save icon at the top right of the screen and renaming the filter as you desire.
Once saved, it will be added to your list of saved filters, which you can access by pressing the Saved toggle at the top of the screen.
The starred filter in your saved list will be your default filter when opening the Games tab. You can set a different saved filter as your default by pressing the triple dot button to the right of the saved filter and then press Set Default. From here, you can also remove the filter from your Saved list by pressing Delete.
You also have the ability to switch your data source between Synergy, My Team, and My Team (All) to view games and practices that have been logged by you in the Synergy Team Logger or shared with your team from other organizations, just like in the Synergy Softball desktop app.
Games View
Once you have selected your game, the name and date are listed at the top of the screen with the final score listed below. You will see the video player, as well as a list of all of the event clips listed below.
Above the video player on the left there is a dropdown menu that allows you to switch between any recorded camera angles associated with the game selected.
You can scroll through the list of clips below the video player, which are organized by inning and at bats. Each event is separated by a light grey line, and each at bat is separated by a brighter white line.
You can also jump to a specific inning of your choice by selecting the three line Hamburger menu at the top left of the events list.
Filtering
By selecting the filter icon on the right above the video player, you can further filter your playlist by selecting Pitcher, Hitter, Fielder, Baserunner, or Catcher for either team.
You can select a single player or multiple players, as well as further refine each player, by pressing the chevron icon to the right of their name.
This will bring up a list of all at bats for that player. You can deselect any at bats you do not wish to view. Once you return to the game screen, only your filtered results will be displayed in the events list.
Note: There is also a toggle at the top of the screen to Display Pickoff Attempts. This is turned of by default.
Video Player Controls
The video player controls are hidden by default to allow for better viewing. In order to display the controls, tap the video player anywhere away from the center of the player. This is by design, so when you are viewing clips, you can pause any clip by tapping the center of the screen.
You can play or pause, jump from clip to clip, adjust your viewing settings, mute audio, or enter full screen display.
Note: You can also enter fullscreen (landscape) by rotating your device.
With the Timeline bar, you also have the ability, while paused, to select the precise moment you wish to view by pressing your thumb on the dot and sliding left or right.
Frame By Frame Viewing
While the video is paused, you can advance or reverse the timeline, one frame at a time by simply double-tapping on the right side of the screen to advance, or the left side of the screen to reverse, allowing for easy pinpointing of any specific moment of the clip you wish to review.
Landscape Mode
In landscape mode, the event playlist is hidden to allow better viewing of your video. However, it can be easily viewed by selecting the list icon next to the settings icon for easier navigation.
