Finalizing a Match

Finalizing a match signals to the Stats App that the game is completely over. To finalize a match, scouts will need to confirm the end of the second period, and then account for any overtime or shoot-outs. 


Ending a Second Period


At the end of the second period, you will need to click the End Period button when it appears.

Next, you will need to confirm that the team scores are correct and reflect the official scoresheet. 

Once this is done, you can click Confirm Period.

After you have confirmed the second period, you will see three options appear:

  • Next Period
  • Shoot Out
  • End Match





End Match


If the game is not going into overtime, you can select the End Match button.

You will then need to make any final edits and checks required to ensure statistics are finalized. Once the statistics for the game are finalized, you can click Confirm Match.

Then the game is complete.

Next Period (Overtime)


If the game is going into overtime, you will need to select the Next Period button.

You will then need to log the game actions of the overtime period, just as you did in the first two periods. Once complete, you will be asked to End Period.





Next, you will need to confirm that the team scores are correct and reflect the official scoresheet. 

Once this is done, you can click Confirm Period.





After you confirm the overtime period, the options to select Next Period, Shoot-Out, or End Match will re-appear. At this point, you can select End Match.

 




You will then need to make any final edits and checks required to ensure statistics are finalized. Once the statistics for the game are finalized, you can click Confirm Match.

 



Then the game is complete.

 



Shoot Out

 

If there is a penalty shootout, you will need to click the Shoot-Out button. 





Then you will be prompted to select the team that won the coin toss.

Next, you will be prompted to select which team will shoot first.

For the subsequent shots, you will select the shooter and the goalkeeper defending the shot.


 



After you click on a player, you will see options for tracking goals: Made, Missed, or Retake. Use the player and goal options to keep track of the shootout. 

 




Once a final score is reached, you will select the End Shoot Out button at the bottom of the modal.

 



Clicking the End Shoot-Out button will bring back the options to select Next Period, Shoot-Out, or End Match. At this point, you can select End Match.

 



You will then need to make any final edits and checks required to ensure statistics are finalized. Once the statistics for the game are finalized, you can click Confirm Match.
