In this article, we will provide a quick start guide for Video Express for Baseball.
Synergy Video Express for Baseball is a dynamic file delivery system that allows Synergy to receive multiple angles of game film for each game, along with their supporting documentation, necessary for logging and creating detailed clips for use with other Synergy products such as the Synergy Baseball app and Synergy Editor.

Below are the steps for making a successful upload using the Video Express application.
1. Log into Video Express
2. Select Start Upload from the Video Express Quick Start page
3. Select Pitch Chart Upload
4. Once a new upload is initiated, select the game you would like to upload your file to using the dropdown menus in the upper right.
- Year
- League
- Team
5. After making your selection, click to highlight the game you would like to upload your files to and click Upload in the lower right.
6. Use the Video Express Upload Instructions as a guide or select Do Not Show This Message Again in the lower left.
7. Browse to the location of the file you wish to upload, select the file(s), and click Continue to proceed.
You will be redirected to the Video Express Transfer Status page, where you can monitor the upload progress.
8. Begin Video Upload: Select New Upload from the Video Express Transfer Status page.
9. Select Video Upload
10. Once a new upload is initiated, select the game you would like to upload video for using the dropdown menus in the upper right.
- Year
- League
- Team
11. After making your selection, click to highlight the game you would like to upload your film to and click Upload in the lower right.
12. Select the number of Camera Angles. From the Video Express Quality Selector / Comments page, select the number of camera angles you wish to upload by using the Total Camera Angles dropdown menu.
13. Use the dropdown menu in each Camera Angle box to select the angle and Source (TV or Non-TV)
14. Add Video Files by clicking the + button to the right of the Add Video File(s) field for each Camera Angle. When prompted, browse to the file location on your computer and select the video you wish to upload. If you have multiple files for a specific camera angle, please be sure to include all the files (preferably selected in the correct sequential order) at the same time by using one of the multi-select methods appropriate for your computer, or add them sequentially, one at a time to the appropriate Camera Angle.
*Note: Ideally, it is best to keep the number of files uploaded per angle to the minimum amount possible. Uploading under 10 files per angle will help to manage any space issues you may encounter on your computer locally which could affect the ability to upload.
If you need to remove a file prior to starting the upload, use the red “X” in the Delete File column.
15. Adjust Rip Directory Settings. By default, the Rip Directory is turned off. Click the Gear Icon to the right above the Camera Angle to open the Rip Directory Settings window.
Use the settings to redirect the Rip file to a location that may provide more sufficient storage space if necessary. Setting options available are:
- ... : Used to browse to the location you would like to select the Rip file to relocate to
- Reset: Used to reset the Rip file location to the application default
- OK: used to proceed with the current selection
- Cancel: Cancels the selection process and leaves current settings in place
Once the upload is complete, the temporary Rip file is removed from the Uploads folder and the storage space it used is recovered.
16. Continue by selecting the Continue or Cancel button in the lower right. Selecting Continue will begin the upload process, Cancel will return you to the Transfer Status Page and cancel the previous selections. Once the upload process has begun, monitor the progress from the Video Express Quality Selector / Comments page for each file/angle or from the Transfer Status Page.
