Synergy recommends the following specifications (specifically for running Editor 9 and Source Manager 6 with local capture and advanced editing workflows).

If you are purchasing a new Mac computer, a quad-core processor and a discrete graphics card are essential. For Windows, a multi-core processor is essential.

Increased RAM, at or greater than the recommended configuration below, and sufficient hard disk space or video backup storage, are the next most important options to consider for capture and editing workflows.

PC

  • Windows 11
  • Intel quad-core i5 processor or greater at least 2.3GHz before Turbo Boost

  • 8 GB RAM or greater
  • Discrete graphics card
  • 512 GB of free hard drive space
  • 4.7.2 (x86 and x64) Microsoft .Net Framework

Mac

  • macOS 11 Big Sur or newer
  • i7 2.5 GHz processor
  • 8 GB RAM
  • Discrete graphics card
  • 512 GB of free hard drive space or greater
Note: Multi-core i3 devices that meet the requirements above will support basic playlist viewing and sharing but might experience performance downgrades with advanced capture and editing workflow.

Internet Bandwidth Requirements

For the smoothest video playback, it is recommended, though not required, that teams have 5-10 MBPS of upload and download bandwidth available on campus.

Because of the large size of game video files, we recommend upload speeds of 5+ Mbps to ensure games are uploaded in a timely fashion.

Required Video and File Formats

Teams must provide video files for every game unless the game is broadcast or a Synergy-captured live webstream.

  • For games not captured by Synergy, the following formats can be uploaded to Synergy for breakdown: .MP4, .AVI, .WMV, .MOV, .MPG, .MOD, .MTS, .VOB.

Teams must provide Synergy with Roster, Box Score, and Pitch Charts including pitch type, location, and velocity.

  • Synergy allows the following file types: .HTML, .XML, .CSV, .PDF, .PNG, .JPEG.

Documents Folder Setup

  • Ensure Synergy files are written to the Documents folder on your computer’s hard drive (not to a networked drive with limitations).
  • The Documents folder should be at least 25 GB of available disk space.
  • You must also have Read/Write permissions on the specified Documents folder.
