Getting Started with Mobile Logger
Prerequisite: You must have access to and utilize the Team Logger desktop application. The mobile logger functions as an extension of the desktop version.
Internet Connection: A stable internet connection is required for all logging activities on the Mobile App.
Accessing the Logger:
- From the main application screen, tap the Logger tile located under Games and Edit.
- Alternatively, tap the Logger button in the bottom right corner of your screen.
Game Synchronization:
- Upon accessing the Mobile Logger, a chronological list of your games (newest to oldest) will display. This list directly mirrors your games in the desktop application.
- All changes made in the Team Logger (desktop) will automatically synchronize with the Mobile Logger, and vice versa.
Note: Games must be created in the Team Logger desktop application to appear in the Mobile Logger. Currently, game creation is not supported within the Mobile Logger app.
Filtering and Searching Games
To efficiently locate a specific game within your list:
Search Bar: Use the search bar at the top of the games list to quickly find games by name or other keywords.
Filters:
Tap the Filters button in the upper right corner of the games list screen.
The following filter options are available:
- League
- Seasons
- Game Types
- Teams
- Opponents
After selecting each filter, tap the Back chevron button (<) to apply it.
Once all desired filters are applied, tap the Back chevron button again to return to the games list.
Only games matching your selected criteria will be displayed.
Logging a Game: Interface and Navigation
Once you've selected a game to log, you'll see the logging interface.
Layout Overview
Settings Menu: Tap the gear icon(⚙️) in the upper right corner to access settings. Here you can adjust:
- Pitch Location Perspective: Changes how the strike zone is displayed.
- Pitch Velocity Measurements: Switches between units (MPH or KPH).
Game Status Display: At the top of the screen, you'll see the teams, scores, current inning, and count.
Adjusting Game Status: Tap this display to open the Game Status menu, allowing you to manually adjust the current inning or count.
Player Information (Pitcher & Hitter):
Buttons displaying the current pitcher and hitter (with their names and numbers) are shown below the game state.
Substitutions: Tap either player button to open a screen with the current lineup (left) and full roster (right). Select the player in the lineup you wish to substitute, then select the player from the roster you wish to replace them with. Tap Apply to save changes.
Note: Players currently in the lineup will have a green checkmark next to their name in the roster list.
Lineup Navigation: Below the hitter button, the lineup order is displayed with two arrows. Use these arrows to quickly cycle through the lineup to the correct hitter.
Handedness:
- The handedness (R for Right, L for Left) of both the pitcher and hitter is displayed.
- Changing Handedness: Tap the corresponding letter (R or L) to switch handedness. A confirmation prompt will appear asking if you want to make the change to the current At-Bat.
Event Editing:
Tap the pencil icon in the upper right (next to the settings button) to access the event list for the current game.
Jump to Inning: In the upper left of the event list, tap the hamburger menu (☰) to select a specific inning to jump to.
Edit an Event: Locate the event you wish to edit and tap on it. This will re-open the logging workflow, allowing you to make any necessary adjustments.
Field View: Below all the controls, the Field view displays players in their positions, providing a visual representation of the game.
Creating an Event (Pitch)
All logged events are time-stamped.
- Tap the New Pitch button in the lower left corner of the screen.
- A red dot and a stopwatch will appear, indicating that the event timer has started.
- To end the event, tap the Pitch button again. The timer will stop, and the event will be time-stamped.
- Once time-stamped, you can proceed to tag the event with detailed data.
Tagging an Event:
After creating an event, you can tag it with various data points using nine distinct menus. You are not required to add data to every menu; you can swipe through them to access the desired tagging options.

Location Menu
- Displays the strike zone and current pitch perspective (adjustable in settings).
- Tap the desired pitch location on the chart to tag it. You can change the location by tapping a different spot.
Velocity Menu
- Defaults to MPH (adjustable in settings).
- Select a velocity from the displayed chart or tap the grey box to manually enter the pitch velocity.
Result Menu
Record the outcome of the plate appearance or specific play:
- Strikeout
- Walk
- Intentional Walk
- Hit By Pitch
- Catcher Interference

- Strikeout Safe WP (Wild Pitch)

Spray Chart Menu
Tap the hit location on the displayed field to tag the BIP's landing spot.
- To change the location, simply tap a different desired spot on the chart.
Field Menu
Detail fielding actions and errors:
Fielder Sequence: Tap the buttons for the order in which fielders handled the ball. The sequence will appear on the table above the field display, where you can add or remove players.
Error:
- Select the player from the sequence table.
- Select the error type from the list:

Interference:
- Fielder

Runner Menu
This menu allows you to track runner movement and RBIs:
Base Display: Shows which bases are currently occupied by runners.
RBIs: To the right of the base display, you can enter the number of RBIs for the play.
Runner Movement List: Below, a list of runners will display, showing their starting base, ending base, and how they advanced.
Advance Reason: Tap the How field for a runner to select an Advance Reason, such as:
- Adv, on the Throw (Advanced on the Throw)
- Error
- Balk
- Defensive Interference
- Stretch Safe
- Runner Going
- Delayed Steal
